Happy Thanksgiving!

I think that every year I learn more about the meaning of "thanksgiving" and that its not just about good food and fun, its actually about giving thanks! I think that this year I've learned that I have so much to be thankful for! right down to every breath that I'm breathing.
I don't have a lot of time but I just wanted to share my biggest thanks...I'm soooo thankful that I have someone to thank! and that someone is Jesus Christ, every day should be a thanksgiving to Him!
(My second biggest thanks is that my daddy gets to visit!)

An update...finally!

Hey everyone! Yup, I'm still alive, I know that I have been very unfaithful to posting for the past few weeks and I'm soooo sorry! Life has been really busy lately, Saturday my dad left for Virginia, he will be there for a little while and then he moves on to Iraq or Afghanistan for a whole year! I'm going to miss him so much! before he left we wanted to spend as much time as we could with him, so I didn't spend any time on the computer, but now that he's gone you'll be hearing a lot more from me.

I would love it if y'all could pray for me and my family, that we would have a smooth year.

Another skirt

I finished another skirt! it was very simple and easy, I don't really have much else to say about it.

Tier skirt

Yesterday I finished making this tier skirt for my little sister.

She loves it (mostly because its pink.) Sadly enough though, right after she put it on, she somehow got into some brown lip gloss and got it on the skirt and I don't think I can get it out:( Looks like I'll have to get started on another one!

Anyway, we got some pictures before it happened so here they are!

"Breathed out by God"

It is truly amazing how powerful Gods word is, 1Tim.3:16 says, " all scripture is breathed out by God" every word in the bible is from God and when we disobey or disbelieve His word we are disobeying or disbelieving God.

Col.3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly" how can this happen if we do not read His word? One of my most common downfalls is not reading Gods word, often I get into ruts where I don't read the bible for days on end, it also really effects my character and I get to feeling really empty and wonder why, then it hits me that I haven’t been feeding my spiritual body! I know that God didn't give me His word so that I could let it sit on the shelf and only be used on sundays, and with His help, I will do my best to be fluent in my bible reading.
